Cheapest first: confirm this is a manual-transmission vehicle and scan-tool watch the Clutch Position PID while operating the pedal through full travel; the signal should sweep smoothly from one end of its range to the other (typically 0.5V at rest to 4.5V fully pressed). A flatlined or jumpy signal points to the sensor itself; a signal that reads correctly at one end of pedal travel but goes dead at the other often points to a broken plunger or a pedal-position switch that has fallen out of its bracket. Caveat: replacing the clutch master or slave cylinder, or the entire clutch assembly, on a P0805 is a massive misdiagnosis since this code is almost always a $40 sensor or a $5 retainer clip.
