Start free: clear, drive, watch for return — rear sensors set intermittent codes far more often than front sensors because the harness flexes with suspension travel and the connector sits low where it catches road grit. With the rear axle on jack stands, spin the LR wheel by hand while watching scan-tool live data: speed should ramp smoothly from 0 to roughly 3-5 mph at hand-spin pace, with no dead spots and no flatline. Cold-ohm the sensor at the body-side connector (passive sensors read 1,000 to 2,500 ohms, active Hall sensors show roughly 5V reference and pulse 0.6V to 1.2V square-wave when spun).
